Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has entered the closing stretch of its Open Beta, and Infinity Ward has given players a major progression boost.
On August 30, 2026, the developer activated both Double XP and Double Weapon XP, giving players another opportunity to progress toward Level 30 and the limited Beta Forged Weapon Blueprint.
A dedicated Transit 213 24/7 playlist has also been added as the MW4 Open Beta approaches its scheduled September 1 ending.
If you're collecting MW4 cosmetics, promotional DLC and limited rewards, this is one of the most important remaining opportunities to complete the Beta progression track before testing closes.

When Does the MW4 Open Beta End?
The second weekend of the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta is scheduled to run until September 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT.
For players in the UK, that is 6:00 PM BST on Tuesday, September 1.
Unlike the earlier Early Access period, the current Open Beta is available to supported players without requiring an MW4 Beta access code or preorder.
That means there is still an opportunity for new players to join the Beta and work through the progression levels, although time is now running out.
MW4 Double XP and Double Weapon XP Activated
Infinity Ward confirmed that Double XP and Double Weapon XP went live during the Open Beta on August 30.
Double XP accelerates progress toward your overall Player Level, while Double Weapon XP increases the rate at which weapons can be levelled.
For collectors, the most important target is Player Level 30, because this unlocks the final main cosmetic reward available through the MW4 Beta progression system.
✓ Double Player XP
✓ Double Weapon XP
✓ Maximum Beta Level: 30
✓ Level 30 Reward: Beta Forged Weapon Blueprint
✓ Open Beta scheduled to end September 1
Infinity Ward's August 30 update did not specify a separate end time for the Double XP promotion.
Players should therefore check the active XP indicators in-game rather than assuming that Double XP will necessarily remain active until the exact moment the Beta closes.
All MW4 Beta Level Rewards
Modern Warfare 4's Open Beta progression track contains eight main cosmetic rewards.
- Level 4: Through the Paces Emblem
- Level 8: First Served Weapon Charm
- Level 12: Meonjeo Weapon Sticker
- Level 16: Last Charge Calling Card
- Level 20: Dread Tiger Operator Skin for Reece
- Level 23: Field Tested Spray
- Level 26: Beta Rights Loading Screen
- Level 30: Beta Forged Weapon Blueprint
Normal Beta Player Level and weapon progression are expected to reset after testing concludes, while eligible Beta cosmetic rewards earned during the event are intended to remain associated with the player's Activision Account for use with the full game.

Important Beta Forged Blueprint Clarification
There has been conflicting information across official Call of Duty material regarding exactly which weapon receives the Beta Forged blueprint.
One official MW4 page has described Beta Forged as a blueprint for the HAN 86 Assault Rifle, while another official progression guide has previously identified it as an ISO Nightshade SMG Weapon Blueprint.
Because of that discrepancy, CODSKINS is currently treating the confirmed reward simply as the:
Beta Forged Weapon Blueprint — Level 30 MW4 Beta Reward
We will avoid presenting either weapon assignment as definitive until the conflicting information is officially clarified.
Transit 213 24/7 Added to the MW4 Beta
The latest update has also introduced a dedicated Transit 213 24/7 playlist.
This gives players more opportunities to play Transit 213 without depending entirely on the wider Quick Play map rotation.
Score limits on Transit 213 have also been increased, allowing individual matches to continue for longer.
- Team Deathmatch: increased from 100 to 150
- Kill Confirmed: increased from 75 to 100
The wider Beta has featured a range of Multiplayer and Warzone testing, including Quick Play, Open Moshpit, Combat Outpost, Search & Destroy, Gunfight and Zodiac Resurgence.
How to Maximise Your Remaining MW4 Beta Progression
With Double XP active, players still chasing Level 30 should concentrate on consistently earning Player XP while completing available challenges.
Check Your Daily Challenges
Daily Challenges can provide additional XP alongside the XP already earned from matches. Several objectives can often be progressed during normal Multiplayer gameplay.
Track Your Progression
Use the in-game Career Profile and Progression screens to monitor your current Player Level and see which Beta reward you are approaching next.
Don't Forget Weapon XP
Double Weapon XP also makes the final Beta period a useful opportunity to experiment with different MW4 weapons and attachments while progression is accelerated.
Remember that Beta weapon progression itself is temporary, so the main permanent incentive is still earning the eligible cosmetic Beta rewards before the event finishes.
Warzone Zodiac Has Also Been Updated
The Warzone portion of the Modern Warfare 4 Beta has continued to receive adjustments throughout Weekend Two.
One of the latest changes involves ground-loot interactions on Zodiac. The interaction radius around weapons was larger than intended, which could result in players accidentally swapping their current weapon when attempting to collect another nearby item.
The pickup behaviour has now been adjusted to make interactions more consistent.
This follows the larger Zodiac tuning already introduced during the weekend, including movement and XP adjustments as developers continue gathering feedback on the upcoming Warzone experience.
What Comes After the MW4 Beta?

One of the most important promotions for collectors is the new Monster Energy × Modern Warfare 4 collaboration.
