Halloween The Game Tower Farm Terror update with Jack cosmetic and Scythe in a dark neon-green farm scene

Halloween: The Game Tower Farm Terror: Free Jack Reward & Scythe

Halloween: The Game Update 1.2.0, Tower Farm Terror, is now live. The first major post-launch content update adds the free Tower Farm map, a Scythe weapon that can be earned through play, new executions, Twitch Drops and a limited-time Jack Ghoul Goggles cosmetic. Paid character skins, two new Civilians and a 14-outfit costume pack have launched alongside the free content.

The most urgent reward is the Jack cosmetic: players must smash 50 pumpkins with weapons before 3 November at 10:00 AM PT. That is 18:00 GMT on 3 November for UK players. Here is what is free, what costs extra and how the new unlocks work.

How to unlock the free Jack Ghoul Goggles

The Jack Ghoul Goggles are a limited-time Civilian cosmetic tied to a weekly challenge. To earn them:

  1. Log in to Halloween: The Game while the challenge is active.
  2. Open the weekly challenge view and confirm that the Jack challenge is tracking.
  3. Smash 50 pumpkins with weapons.
  4. Finish the requirement before 3 November at 10:00 AM PT.

The official patch notes do not require a DLC purchase for this challenge. The goggles are part of the update's free unlockable content, so buying a Michael skin or the new Civilian pack should not be necessary. Check that your counter increases as you destroy pumpkins; decorative objects do not always behave identically across maps and modes.

Tower Farm is a free map

Tower Farm is available in both public Matchmaking and Private Matches. The rural map replaces familiar suburban streets with farmhouses, barns, cornfields, irrigation structures and weathered county roads. A harvest festival, pumpkin gardens and a trailer park create a different layout from the game's existing Haddonfield spaces.

For Civilians, the map's broad roads and open fields make movement easier to read but harder to hide. Roadside ditches, sheds, barns and homes provide cover between exposed crossings. The patch notes also confirm a new sewer escape on Tower Farm, giving players another objective and route to learn.

The map is not paid DLC. Anyone who owns Halloween: The Game can access it after installing Update 1.2.0.

How the new Scythe unlock works

The Scythe is a new starting weapon with two confirmed unlock routes:

  • Free route: complete the new Scythe Progressive Challenges.
  • Immediate route: purchase the Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin.

You can also discover and use the Scythe on the Tower Farm map. Buying the skin saves the challenge grind, but the weapon itself is not locked exclusively behind payment. That distinction matters: players who only want the gameplay item can earn it without purchasing the premium Michael variant.

Halloween: The Game Twitch Drops

The update also activates A Haddonfield Halloween Twitch Drops. The official window runs from 26 October at 10:00 AM PT until 3 November at 10:00 AM PT. Watch a participating channel streaming Halloween: The Game to progress the unique Drop items.

Before watching, connect the correct game account and Twitch account through the official redemption flow, then confirm that the channel has Drops enabled. Claim completed rewards in Twitch's Drops inventory rather than assuming they will be granted automatically. The patch notes announce multiple unique items but do not list every watch-time tier in the main update, so verify the current campaign panel before planning a session.

Free content versus paid DLC

Included free with Update 1.2.0

  • Tower Farm map for Matchmaking and Private Matches
  • Scythe weapon and its progressive challenge path
  • Jack Ghoul Goggles weekly challenge
  • New executions and Twitch Drops
  • Bug fixes, balance adjustments and quality-of-life changes

Available as paid content

  • Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers skin — listed at US $9.99
  • Halloween (2018) Michael Myers skin — listed at US $9.99
  • Civilian Characters Pack with Michelle and Eugene — listed at US $9.99
  • Civilian Costumes Pack 1 with 14 outfits and 42 colour tints — listed at US $9.99

UK storefront pricing can differ from the US dollar prices in the official announcement, so check your platform store before buying. The Halloween 5 skin's instant Scythe unlock is a convenience benefit; it does not remove the free challenge route.

What to do first in Tower Farm Terror

Prioritise the 50-pumpkin Jack challenge because it expires. Then open the Scythe Progressive Challenges and note each stage before spending money on an instant unlock. If you want the Twitch cosmetics, connect your account before leaving a stream running and check campaign progress after the first viewing interval.

Once the timed rewards are moving, learn Tower Farm in a Private Match. Locate the sewer escape, open-road crossings and clusters of breakable pumpkins before entering public matchmaking. The update changes both navigation and the rhythm of 1v4 matches, so a short map tour can save more time than blindly grinding.
