NBA 2K27 Season 2 is now live, bringing a new 40-level reward track, the debut of GOAT Builds and a remastered Sunset Beach to The City. The update launched on 16 October 2026 and is led by Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton, with new content across MyCAREER, MyTEAM, Crew Divisions and the soundtrack.
Season 2 also arrives alongside Patch 2.0 and the game's Windows PC Store release. Below are the confirmed free-track highlights, paid-pass rewards and gameplay changes worth knowing before you start earning XP.
NBA 2K27 Season 2 reward highlights
Players earn shared Season XP through The City, MyCAREER and MyTEAM. 2K has confirmed several key rewards on the standard track:
- Level 18: 4-Person Golf Cart
- Level 20: Boomer, the Indiana Pacers mascot
- Level 33: Dirk Nowitzki GOAT Build
- Level 39: Clown Costume: Ankle Taker
- MyTEAM Level 1: Diamond Jason Kidd
- MyTEAM Level 40: Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns
The reward track mixes mobility, cosmetics and competitive cards rather than concentrating value at the final level. The Golf Cart is an early practical goal for players who spend time travelling around The City, while the Dirk Nowitzki GOAT Build is likely to be the main MyPLAYER target.
What are GOAT Builds?
GOAT Builds are preset MyPLAYER templates inspired by NBA legends and current stars. Unlike ordinary custom creations, they can exceed the usual physical and attribute caps in the MyPLAYER Builder. Their animations and core statistics are locked to preserve the feel of the featured player, but the builds still support Badges, Cap Breakers and other progression systems.
The release selection includes builds based on Klay Thompson, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard, with more available through REP and Lifetime Challenges. The Level 33 Dirk Nowitzki reward gives Season 2 players a clear route to a specialist build without relying on the initial selection.
Sunset Beach returns to The City
Sunset Beach has been remastered from NBA 2K17 and added to The City with its coastal setting, volcano view and giant fish tank. The return gives Season 2 a recognisable destination rather than only refreshing menus and reward cards.
For Crew players, Season 2 applies Double Crew XP to the rewards track and a 25% REP boost to Crew Divisions games. Crew HQ now uses REC-level difficulty, while the Squad Showdown Kiosk retains competitive sliders for organised private matches.
MyTEAM rewards and the Premier Exchange
MyTEAM begins the season with Diamond Jason Kidd at Level 1 and ends with Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns at Level 40. The Premier Exchange also lets players trade cards from their collection for exclusive roster upgrades, including Pixel Cut Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
This makes collection management more important than simply opening packs. Before exchanging cards, check whether an item is needed for another objective or collection reward. The Premier Exchange creates a direct route to named players, but every trade still has an opportunity cost.
Season 2 Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass rewards
The paid Season 2 Pro Pass adds 40 premium levels with Halloween-themed content. Automatic rewards include a Jack-O'-Lantern Scarecrow Costume, Headhunter Mask, a 94 OVR Pascal Siakam and a Pro Pass Pack.
Confirmed premium milestones include Jack-O'-Lantern Facepaint at Level 3, Sir C.C. — the Cleveland Cavaliers mascot — at Level 12, a Fire Face Body Mod at Level 18, G-Wiz — the Washington Wizards mascot — at Level 30, and a Pro Pass version of Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns at Level 40.
The Hall of Fame Pass includes the premium track plus additional benefits, but both passes require the base game, an internet connection and an NBA 2K account. Premium rewards remain earnable through gameplay; buying the pass does not remove the need to progress.
Patch 2.0 changes launch with Season 2
Patch 2.0 is now live with updates across gameplay, MyTEAM, Crew HQ and MyCAREER Eras. The headline MyCAREER change is the ability to play a continuous 25-year career spanning multiple eras.
2K also says the patch addresses ghost contests on shots and rebalances steal animations and penalties. Those changes matter beyond the reward track because they can alter shot selection and defensive risk in online play. Players returning for the new season should expect to adjust rather than assume Season 1 timings will feel identical.
Windows PC Store release and cross-buy
NBA 2K27 also launched on the Windows PC Store on 16 October. Players who purchase a digital Xbox edition receive a digital Windows PC copy, while buying on Windows PC includes the Xbox digital version. This cross-buy arrangement is useful for players who split time between console and PC, although online features still require the relevant account and connection.
Confirmed facts versus unverified reward lists
Confirmed: Season 2 launched on 16 October with GOAT Builds, Sunset Beach, the named reward highlights, Crew boosts, the paid pass track and Patch 2.0. These details come from 2K's official Season 2 announcement.
Not fully confirmed: Community spreadsheets may list every level before all rewards are visible in every region. Treat unofficial level-by-level lists as provisional, especially where names or card ratings differ from the in-game track.
Best first goals in Season 2
Start by claiming the Level 1 MyTEAM reward, then use shared XP activities to work toward the Level 18 Golf Cart and Level 20 Boomer mascot. Competitive MyPLAYER users should inspect the GOAT Build restrictions before committing resources, while MyTEAM players should review the Premier Exchange carefully.
CODSKINS does not currently list an NBA 2K27-specific product, but players looking for other releases and digital offers can browse the Full Game Keys collection or the wider Other Games DLC and rewards collection.
