The official announcement arrived on 13 October and gives this Warbond a clear identity: precision, concealment and holding a firing position. Below is every confirmed item, what the new Stationary Shroud passive does and the important details Arrowhead has not announced yet. Helldivers 2 Scope of Authority release date

The Scope of Authority Premium Warbond releases on 20 October 2026. Arrowhead says players will need the Helldivers 2 base game, Super Credits and game progression to unlock its contents.

The announcement does not specify an exact launch time or the number of Super Credits required. Players should therefore avoid treating predicted regional times or assumed prices as confirmed information. We will update this guide if Arrowhead publishes those details before launch.

Every confirmed Scope of Authority item

Item Category Confirmed role
R-40 Sightliner Primary weapon Bolt-action sniper rifle with armour-piercing rounds
P-44 Mist Sidearm One-handed machine pistol for close-range pressure
AMW-20 Apex Heavy weapon Backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle with assisted reload
LAS-44 Nova Energy weapon Precision thermal projectile after a short charge cycle
G-11 Caltrops Battlefield control Proximity-triggered submunitions that slow and stun
SS-33 Mimetic Marshal Light armour Ghillie-inspired armour with Stationary Shroud
SS-15 Focal Point Medium armour Adaptive-camouflage armour with Stationary Shroud

R-40 Sightliner bolt-action sniper rifle

The R-40 Sightliner is the Warbond’s clearest expression of its long-range theme. It is a primary bolt-action sniper rifle using powerful armour-piercing rounds. That description suggests deliberate shot placement rather than a high rate of fire, although Arrowhead has not published damage, handling, magazine or penetration statistics.

Its status as a primary weapon is especially important. It offers a precision option without automatically occupying the same loadout slot as a support weapon, leaving squads room to choose a separate stratagem for heavier targets.

P-44 Mist and LAS-44 Nova

The P-44 Mist is a one-handed machine pistol intended to provide speed when enemies close the distance. It appears designed as the emergency partner to the slower Sightliner, but its fire rate, magazine capacity and one-handed interaction benefits remain unconfirmed.

The LAS-44 Nova fires a high-precision, non-explosive thermal projectile after a short charge cycle. Arrowhead says it has the effectively unlimited ammunition associated with its energy-weapon family and uses an optimisation routine intended to improve cooldown performance. Exact heat limits and charge timing have not been revealed.

AMW-20 Apex anti-materiel rifle

The AMW-20 Apex is a colossal, armour-penetrating anti-materiel rifle fed from a backpack and equipped for assisted reload. This makes it the Warbond’s most obviously squad-oriented tool: carrying it appears to require a meaningful equipment commitment, while assisted reload should reward coordinated teams.

Arrowhead has not confirmed the Apex’s ammunition count, reload speed or which enemy armour classes it can defeat. Claims that it will replace an existing anti-tank option are therefore premature until players can test its final statistics.

G-11 Caltrops explained

The throwable G-11 Caltrops scatters proximity-detonated submunitions across an area. Enemies entering the field are slowed and stunned, creating a window to line up precision shots, defend an objective or disengage.

This is more than another source of direct damage. Its confirmed crowd-control effect fits the Warbond’s wider design: stop targets moving, reduce their ability to close distance and give the squad’s long-range weapons time to work.

Stationary Shroud armour passive

Both new armour sets use the Stationary Shroud passive. While the wearer is crouched or prone, the passive reduces weapon sway and lowers the range at which enemies detect the player.

The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal is a light set inspired by traditional ghillie suits, pairing camouflage materials with greater mobility. It comes with the Mimetic Mesh cape and player card. The SS-15 Focal Point is a medium alternative featuring integrated adaptive camouflage and an asymmetrical optical visor, with the Boundary Banner cape and player card.

Stationary Shroud is conditional. Arrowhead has not described it as invisibility, and the announcement ties its benefits specifically to crouched or prone positions. Players should not assume the detection reduction remains active while sprinting or moving upright.

Cosmetics, emote and player title

Scope of Authority also includes the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot player title. The two armour sets receive coordinated capes and player cards, giving players complete visual themes rather than isolated armour pieces.

No vehicle pattern, booster or extra armour set was listed in the announcement. Likewise, Arrowhead has not confirmed the Warbond’s page structure or medal costs for individual unlocks.

Who is Scope of Authority for?

This Warbond is aimed at players who favour controlled sightlines, deliberate positioning and coordinated defence. The Sightliner and Apex provide different forms of armour-piercing precision; Caltrops create space; Stationary Shroud rewards firing from cover; and the Mist offers a fallback when that position collapses.

Players who mainly use mobile close-range builds may want to wait for final weapon statistics before spending Super Credits. A strong theme does not guarantee that every item will outperform existing equipment at launch.

Confirmed facts versus unannounced details

Confirmed: Scope of Authority launches on 20 October; it requires the base game, Super Credits and progression; it contains four named firearms, G-11 Caltrops, two armour sets with Stationary Shroud, two coordinated cape-and-card sets, an emote and the Longshot title.

Not yet confirmed: the Super Credit price, exact regional launch time, weapon statistics, medal costs, unlock order and whether balance changes will accompany the Warbond. Any figures circulating for those details should be treated as estimates until Arrowhead publishes them.
