Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 arrives in the UK at 7:00am BST on 15 October 2026. The free update adds six vehicles, the Sportsland Sugo circuit, six World Circuit events and new ways to view and experience cars.
Sony and Polyphony Digital have also revealed a limited-edition Gran Turismo DualSense controller. UK pre-orders open on 22 October at 10:00am local time, priced at £74.99, before its global launch begins on 10 December.
GT7 Spec IV release time in the UK
Spec IV Part 1 becomes available at 11:00pm PDT on 14 October, which converts to 7:00am BST on Thursday, 15 October. An internet connection is required to download the update.
The update itself is free for Gran Turismo 7 owners. However, Sony notes that acquiring the new vehicles still requires in-game credits, earned through progression or purchased separately. “Free update” therefore does not mean that all six cars are immediately placed in every garage.
Every new car in Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1
| Vehicle | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo | Brand Central |
| Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 | Used Cars |
| Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87 | Legend Cars |
| Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 | Brand Central |
| Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23 | Brand Central |
| Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86 | Used Cars |
Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo
The most futuristic addition is Xiaomi’s electric Vision Gran Turismo. Its design concentrates on balancing low drag with meaningful cornering downforce, using airflow channels, a halo-shaped rear outlet and simulated aerodynamic development. It will be sold through Brand Central.
Ferrari F355 and Honda Civic Group A
The 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta brings one of Ferrari’s best-known mid-engined road cars into Used Cars. The Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87, based on the Mugen Motul racing Civic, enters Legend Cars and represents Japanese touring-car history.
Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo
The Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 develops the rotary-powered GT3 concept into a new racing version. Sony positions it as a serious World Touring Car option rather than another road-car collectible.
Step WGN and Citroën 2 CV
The final two additions deliberately broaden the garage. Honda’s 2023 Step WGN Spada Premium Line is a modern family minivan, while the 1986 Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston offers a much slower, historically important alternative to the update’s racing machinery.
Sportsland Sugo joins the circuit list
Spec IV adds Sportsland Sugo, the Japanese circuit known for flowing corners, elevation changes and technical sequences. The official announcement repeatedly pairs its cars with Sugo driving suggestions, indicating that the circuit is intended as the centrepiece of Part 1.
The track should provide a clear contrast between the six additions: the Civic Group A can recreate period touring-car behaviour, while the Xiaomi and RX-Vision can attack the circuit with modern aerodynamics. Even the 2 CV is highlighted as an option for a deliberately relaxed lap.
New events, Car Viewer features and Experience mode
Beyond the cars and circuit, Polyphony Digital confirms six new World Circuit events, new Scapes locations, extra Car Viewer functionality and a new Experience mode. The announcement does not fully document every menu change or event reward, so players should check the in-game update notes once the servers distribute Spec IV.
The Car Viewer additions are especially relevant to collectors who spend time inspecting interiors, materials and model detail rather than only racing. New Scapes locations extend the photography side of GT7, while the events provide structured reasons to use more of the updated garage.
Gran Turismo limited-edition DualSense: UK price and date
The new controller celebrates 30 years of Gran Turismo with racing stripes, motorsport graphics and a textured, carbon-fibre-style front plate. It remains a standard DualSense controller in functional terms; Sony has not announced unique gameplay features or an included digital reward.
- UK price: £74.99 recommended retail price
- UK pre-orders: 22 October at 10:00am local time
- Global launch: begins 10 December
- Availability: limited quantities
UK buyers will be able to pre-order directly from PlayStation where available, alongside participating retailers. Actual retail prices can vary, and limited quantities mean the controller may sell out before launch.
What is confirmed—and what is not
Confirmed: the six-car list, Sportsland Sugo, six World Circuit events, Car Viewer additions, Experience mode, UK update time, controller price, pre-order date and December launch all come from Sony’s 14 October announcement.
Not confirmed: the post does not provide every event payout, the full set of menu changes, exact in-game credit prices for all vehicles or a complete timetable for Spec IV Part 2. Players should avoid treating unofficial credit costs or Part 2 rumours as final.
