Zul’Aman is now live on World of Warcraft’s Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms. The 10-player level-70 raid opened globally on 22 October 2026 at 23:00 BST, bringing back six bosses, a three-day reset and the timed hostage run that awards the rare Amani War Bear mount.
The raid arrives with more than a new instance. Blizzard has also removed several attunement requirements, expanded Badge of Justice sources, reduced Heroic dungeon difficulty and made important crafting materials tradeable. Here is the complete player-facing breakdown.
WoW Zul’Aman launch time and raid requirements
| Detail | Confirmed information |
|---|---|
| Launch | 22 October 2026 at 23:00 BST |
| Game version | Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary |
| Raid size | 10 players |
| Required level | Level 70 |
| Location | Ghostlands, Eastern Kingdoms |
| Attunement | None required |
| Reset | Three-day lockout |
Zul’Aman sits south of Quel’Thalas in the Ghostlands. Unlike several earlier Burning Crusade raids, it does not require an attunement chain, so an eligible group can travel to the entrance and begin immediately. The shorter three-day lockout also gives organised groups more frequent chances at its loot and timed-run reward.
All six Zul’Aman bosses
The raid culminates in a confrontation with Zul’jin after players defeat the Amani lieutenants empowered by animal gods. Blizzard’s confirmed boss list is:
- Nalorakk
- Akil’zon
- Jan’alai
- Halazzi
- Hex Lord Malacrass
- Zul’jin
The instance is designed for one tank-and-healer-sized raid group rather than a 25-player roster, but the timed rescue route means clean movement and quick transitions matter alongside raw boss damage.
How to get the Amani War Bear
The Amani War Bear comes from Zul’Aman’s hostage rescue challenge. When the raid enters, the Amani begin preparing to execute their captives. The group must rescue every hostage before the countdown expires.
Defeating each of Zul’jin’s lieutenants and freeing the associated hostage awards extra loot and extends the timer. A group that rescues all hostages before time runs out earns the rare battle mount. Blizzard has not published a removal date for the Amani War Bear in this announcement, so claims that it disappears on a particular future patch should be treated as unconfirmed.
Practical timed-run priorities
- Agree the boss route and loot rules before the gate opens.
- Use consumables early instead of saving them for a failed final pull.
- Minimise time spent recovering between bosses and assign resurrection duties in advance.
- Do not assume an ordinary full clear automatically awards the mount; every hostage must be rescued before the timer ends.
Attunement and Heroic dungeon changes
The same content update makes Burning Crusade endgame easier to enter. The Battle for Mount Hyjal and Black Temple no longer require attunement. Heroic dungeon keys now require Honored reputation rather than the previous higher threshold, and all Heroic dungeons move to their final, reduced-difficulty state.
Those changes should make it faster for returning characters and alts to reach raid-ready gear, while giving established groups more recruitment options. Zul’Aman itself still expects level 70 players, but it adds another gearing route between Karazhan-level content and the larger raid tiers.
Badge of Justice and loot updates
Badges of Justice can now drop from a much broader set of encounters: Doomlord Kazzak, Doomwalker, every boss in Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair and Magtheridon’s Lair, all bosses in Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep, and every Zul’Aman boss.
G’eras in Shattrath has also expanded his Badge inventory with more powerful items, including Nether Vortex. Meanwhile, Kazzak and Doomwalker loot changes from Bind on Pickup to Bind on Equip, allowing eligible drops to move through the player economy.
Epic gems and profession materials
Magtheridon’s Black Sack of Gems and the Jewelcrafter’s Brilliant Glass can now contain epic gems. There is an important cutoff: Brilliant Glass already created and unopened Black Sacks looted before the update cannot roll the new epic gems.
Outland faction vendors now offer Leatherworking recipes for Greater Drums, the Knothide Quiver and the Knothide Ammo Pouch. Primal Nether and Nether Vortex are no longer soulbound, which should make crafted gear and high-end profession work easier to organise across a guild.
Confirmed information versus assumptions
- Confirmed: Zul’Aman is live, requires level 70, supports 10 players, needs no attunement and resets every three days.
- Confirmed: rescuing every hostage within the timer awards the Amani War Bear.
- Confirmed: Badge sources, Heroic requirements, epic-gem sources and material binding changed with the update.
- Not announced: a removal date for the Amani War Bear or any guaranteed number of mount attempts before a future phase.
