Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year 2 Roadmap: Every DLC, Free Update and Release Date

SEGA has revealed the full Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year Two roadmap, confirming a major free update, a second season pass and crossover content running from November 2026 through late 2027. The headline additions include Godzilla, Evangelion, Hello Kitty and Kuromi, a Final Fantasy VII Remake-themed Midgar pack and another Persona collaboration.

Year Two officially begins on 3 November 2026. That date brings the first paid crossover pack, several free additions and a broad update to the racing systems. SEGA has also permanently reduced the game's US price and made Season Pass Two available to buy now. UK and regional prices can differ by platform, so players should check their own storefront before purchasing.

Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two release date

The Year Two launch date is Tuesday, 3 November 2026. It is more than a DLC drop: all players are due to receive new modes, gadgets and roster behaviour alongside the first Season Pass Two content.

The confirmed free update adds Duel Mode, a one-versus-one format with a new Duel Boost mechanic. SEGA has listed Rival Duel, free matches, best-of-10 matches and friend matches as supported variants. The gadget system is also expanding with a Grand Master Plate, which adds a seventh “super” slot for one-slot gadgets, plus 15 new gadgets. Previously released free and paid characters will also become available as CPU-controlled rivals in online and offline races.

Every confirmed Year Two crossover and date

Godzilla Pack – 3 November 2026

The first paid pack launches with Year Two. It contains the Godzilla Escape course, Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf machines, plus additional jukebox music and sounds. No playable Godzilla racer has been listed, so players should not assume the kaiju itself will join the driver roster.

Evangelion Pack – January 2027

The Evangelion collaboration adds the Tokyo-III course, Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley as racers, and three EVA machines based on EVA-01, EVA-00 and EVA-02. Music, character emotes and sounds are also included.

Virtual Sanrio Puroland Pack – Q2 2027

Hello Kitty and Kuromi headline the Sanrio pack. It includes a Virtual Sanrio Puroland course, the Hello Kitty Apple Kart and Kuromi Charming Cruiser, along with music, emotes and sounds. SEGA has only given a second-quarter window, so there is no exact launch day yet.

SEGALAND and Midgar packs – Q3 2027

The SEGALAND pack is a nostalgia-focused crossover with a themed course and machines inspired by After Burner, OutRun and Super Megalo. It currently lists no new racers.

A separate Midgar Pack, still described as a working title, brings Final Fantasy VII Remake content. SEGA has confirmed one course, two racers, one machine, music, emotes and sounds. The identities of the racers and the precise Midgar course layout have not been announced. Any specific character claims circulating before SEGA or Square Enix names them should be treated as speculation.

Reload Revival Royal Pack – Q4 2027

The final currently announced Season Pass Two pack returns to the Persona series. It is scheduled to include one course, two racers, two machines, music, emotes and sounds. The pack title points toward multiple Persona eras, but SEGA has not yet confirmed the drivers. There is not enough official information to name them responsibly.

Free Year Two racers include Bayonetta and Aigis

Not everything sits behind the season pass. Bayonetta arrives free on 3 November, while a McLaren Racing version of Sonic is planned for November 2026. Aigis from Persona 3 is scheduled for early 2027. These free characters and machines are separate from the six paid packs listed above.

Season Pass Two also includes immediate SEGA controller decals based on the Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast and Dreamcast VMU. Three console-shaped machines arrive on 3 November. Players who own both Season Pass One and Season Pass Two will receive Super Shadow and the Super Dark Flare machine as an additional bonus.

Season Pass Two price and permanent game price cut

Season Pass Two is on sale for $29.99 on Steam, while a new Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition bundles the base game and second pass for $59.99 in the US. SEGA says the standard edition has permanently dropped from $69.99 to $39.99, with the existing Deluxe Edition falling from $89.99 to $59.99. These are the announced US prices; local currency, taxes and platform pricing can change the exact UK total.

That price cut matters because the roadmap stretches across almost a full year after the November update. New buyers can enter at a lower base price, while existing players can decide whether the specific crossover packs justify another paid pass. The official game site also notes that season passes and collaboration DLC can be purchased separately.

What is confirmed and what remains unknown

The dates, windows, prices and listed pack contents above are confirmed through SEGA's showcase and storefront information. The unresolved pieces are mostly identities and exact dates: Midgar's two racers, the Persona pack's two racers, and firm launch days for the quarterly 2027 packs.

For players following crossover-heavy live games, CODSKINS also covers major collaborations such as the Fortnite Black Clover skins. You can browse more releases and platform updates through the gaming news and guides hub, or check the latest gaming promotions for reward and code opportunities.

For now, the key date is 3 November 2026. That is when Duel Mode, the gadget overhaul, Bayonetta, the Godzilla pack and the first console-themed bonuses are scheduled to land, giving CrossWorlds its biggest coordinated update since launch.
