Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October 2026, and this month’s announcement carries more than the usual three-game lineup. Alongside F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, PlayStation Plus members are getting a run of Halloween-themed bonus packs for Call of Duty: Warzone, Overwatch 2 and Hunt.

F1 25 leads the October lineup on PS5
F1 25 is the headline release for racing fans. It is the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship and includes Career mode, My Team 2.0 and online racing. My Team 2.0 puts players in the owner’s seat, while F1 World includes a squad-based multiplayer mode in which friends race together against AI drivers.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is the darkest game in the group and the most natural fit for October. Players enter monster-filled environments, track bosses, secure bounties and try to extract while competing against other Hunters. It can be played solo or in a team of up to three.
The tension comes from the combination of PvE monsters and rival human squads: defeating a boss does not guarantee that a team will escape with the bounty. The PS Plus release is for PS5, and Sony is also pairing it with a separate Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack on 6 October.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 supports PS4 and PS5
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is the only October monthly game available on both PS4 and PS5. It turns the EDF series into a colourful voxel-style world while keeping the franchise’s large enemy swarms, collectible soldiers and team-building focus.
Players select four rescued teammates, combine their weapons and abilities, and fight returning and new enemies. The game supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen, making it the most straightforward co-op choice in this month’s lineup.
PS Plus HorrorFest packs: Warzone, Overwatch 2 and Hunt
The most relevant part of Sony’s announcement for cosmetic and reward hunters is the new set of PlayStation Plus Exclusive HorrorFest Packs. These are separate from the monthly games and require the relevant base game to be owned.
Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle — 1 October
Sony says the Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle becomes available on 1 October. However, the announcement does not list the bundle’s individual cosmetics, operator items or other contents. Until a complete PlayStation Store listing appears in each region, any detailed item list circulating elsewhere should be treated as unconfirmed.
