Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for October 2026, adding a fresh group of PS5 and PS4 games for Extra and Premium members from 20 October. The headline additions are Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and the day-one PS5 catalogue release of Mycopunk.
This is separate from October’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. Catalogue titles remain playable while they stay in the service and while the required membership is active; they are not claimed permanently in the same way as Monthly Games. Sony has also announced timed HorrorFest packs, DLC offers, trials and a community reward.
PS Plus October 2026 Game Catalog at a glance
| Game | Platforms | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Mafia: The Old Country | PS5 | 20 October |
| Horizon Forbidden West | PS5, PS4 | 20 October |
| Mycopunk | PS5 | 20 October, day one on PS5 catalogue |
| The Midnight Walk | PS5, PS VR2 | 14 October in the UK and US |
| Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 | PS5, PS4 | 27 October |
| Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition | PS5, PS4 | 27 October |
| Monster Energy Supercross 25 | PS5 | 27 October |
Sony says the main lineup arrives on 20 October unless another date is listed. Regional catalogues can vary, so the UK PlayStation Store should be treated as the final check on release day.
The three headline additions
Mafia: The Old Country
Mafia: The Old Country takes players to early-1900s Sicily for Enzo Favara’s rise through the criminal underworld. Its third-person action, period weapons, horseback travel and cinematic story make it the largest single-player addition in this catalogue update.
Horizon Forbidden West returns
Horizon Forbidden West rejoins the service on both PS5 and PS4. Sony explicitly labels this as a PlayStation Plus re-release, which matters for returning subscribers: this is not a new game launch, but it restores catalogue access to Aloy’s western journey.
Mycopunk launches day one on PS5
Mycopunk reaches the PS5 catalogue on 20 October, the same day as its console release. It is a four-player mission-based looter shooter about a robot extermination crew fighting a planet-wide fungal threat. The “day one” wording applies to the new PS5 release; the game previously appeared on PC.
Extra games arriving on different dates
Stop-motion dark-fantasy adventure The Midnight Walk is already available in the UK and US from 14 October. It can be played normally on PS5 or through PS VR2.
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 follow on 27 October. The Tales of Arise edition combines the base RPG with its Beyond the Dawn expansion, while Supercross 25 focuses on Unreal Engine 5 visuals, dynamic tracks and a revamped career.
PlayStation Plus Premium classics and trials
Premium members receive two catalogue classics: Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, both playable on PS5 and PS4. Dino Crisis 2 shifts toward larger dinosaur encounters and outdoor environments, while RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 includes management scenarios and sandbox building.
New Premium game trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II arrive on 20 October. Trials let members sample eligible games for a limited play period; they are not complete catalogue additions.
October HorrorFest rewards and DLC offers
World War Z Halloween pack
A World War Z Vibrant Halloween Skin Pack arrives on 20 October. Sony confirms five spooky weapon appearances and additional Halloween-themed cosmetics, but the announcement does not name every item. Treat more detailed item lists as unconfirmed until the local Store page goes live.
Back 4 Blood DLC offer
From 21 October until 4 November, PlayStation Plus members can download the first Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror expansion for no additional cost. Sony also advertises 95% reductions on the second and third expansions and the Annual Pass during the offer. The base game is currently in the Extra catalogue.
Dead by Daylight community reward
Dead by Daylight players have from 20–26 October to collectively complete 10 million matches. If the target is reached, Sony says a PlayStation Plus pack will unlock for all members. Its confirmed item is the Buccaneer Buds Charm, showing Jeff Johansen and his rescue dog in matching pirate outfits.
How to access the new catalogue games
- Use a PlayStation account with an active Extra or Premium membership.
- Open the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on PS5, PS4 or the PlayStation app.
- Check each title on its listed release date; not every October game launches on the 20th.
- Add or download the game while it remains in the catalogue.
- For packs and DLC, confirm the required base game is connected to the same account.
Confirmed facts and details still unknown
Confirmed: the titles, supported console generations, staggered release dates, Premium classics, two new trials and the announced HorrorFest offers all come directly from Sony’s 14 October announcement.
Not confirmed: Sony has not provided removal dates for the newly added catalogue games, a complete item list for the World War Z pack or a guarantee that every title and pack will appear identically in every region.
