Fortnite’s 9th Birthday celebration is now live, bringing a new set of limited-time Birthday Quests and free cosmetic rewards to Battle Royale. The event went live on 21 September 2026 and is one of the strongest Fortnite search opportunities of the week because players are actively looking for the reward requirements, the nine quest objectives and the newly reported 9YEARS Lobby Hack code.
The core event is simple: complete Birthday Quests to unlock three free cosmetics, while an additional birthday-themed Spray is being reported as obtainable through a separate in-game code. Below is everything currently live, what players need to complete, and what should still be treated as reported rather than formally announced by Epic Games.
Fortnite 9th Birthday rewards
Fortnite’s 2026 birthday track contains three milestone rewards tied directly to the new Birthday Quests. You do not need to spend V-Bucks or buy the Battle Pass to earn them.
- Complete 3 Birthday Quests: Choco-9 Cake Back Bling
- Complete 6 Birthday Quests: Cake Crusher Pickaxe
- Complete 9 Birthday Quests: FNCS Sentry Back Bling
The milestones stack, so players who finish all nine objectives should end the event with all three quest rewards. The FNCS Sentry Back Bling also gives the birthday event a useful crossover with Fortnite’s competitive branding, while the Cake Crusher is likely to be the most recognisable cosmetic from the free reward track.
All nine Fortnite Birthday Quests
The current Birthday Quest list contains nine objectives. Several of the birthday-specific tasks are easiest to complete in Fortnite OG because the required Birthday Presents, cake slices and Balloons are available there.
- Use an emote during a match.
- Eliminate opponents while aiming down sights.
- Throw Birthday Presents.
- Eat slices of Birthday Cake at Named Locations.
- Deploy Balloons.
- Hit headshots.
- Search containers.
- Visit different Named Locations.
- Wish the Bus Driver a happy birthday.
The exact progress requirement is different for each objective, but the important part for the cosmetic unlocks is the total number of completed Birthday Quests. If you only have limited play time, completing any three gives you the first reward, six unlocks the pickaxe, and all nine clears the full milestone track.
Does the Fortnite 9YEARS code work?
Reported reward: 9th Birthday Sprite Spray
Multiple fresh reports published after the event went live say the code 9YEARS can be entered through Fortnite’s Lobby Hack/Admin Panel system to unlock a birthday-themed Sprite Spray. Player reports are also confirming that the code is currently granting the cosmetic on live accounts.
Important: at the time of writing, we could not find a dedicated Epic Games news post formally detailing the 2026 Birthday code. For that reason, CODSKINS is treating 9YEARS as a reported working in-game code rather than presenting it as a separately announced Epic promotion. If the code stops working or the reward changes, the in-game event interface should be treated as the final source of truth.
What is confirmed and what is still being reported?
Confirmed / live
The 9th Birthday event is live, the Birthday Quest section is active, and the three milestone rewards are available at three, six and nine completed quests. Birthday-themed gameplay items such as cakes, presents and Balloons are also appearing as part of the event, with some objectives specifically pointing players toward Fortnite OG.
Reported / not yet fully detailed by Epic
The 9YEARS Lobby Hack code and its birthday Spray are being reported as working, but Epic has not surfaced a dedicated web announcement for the code in the sources we checked. Reports also point to a Birthday Sprite arriving later during the celebration, but the exact rollout date has varied between coverage. Until that item appears in-game, treat any precise release date as provisional.
When does the Fortnite 9th Birthday event end?
Coverage agrees that this is a short end-of-September event, but published cutoff dates currently vary between 30 September and 1 October 2026, most likely because of regional reset times. The safest option is to finish the nine quests by 30 September rather than leaving them until the final reset. Fortnite’s in-game Quest timer is the best place to check the exact remaining time for your account and region.
More Fortnite codes and cosmetics at CODSKINS
The birthday rewards above are free in-game unlocks, but players collecting harder-to-find promotional cosmetics can browse the full Fortnite skins and packs collection at CODSKINS. Current live listings include the Fortnite Radiant Runes Wrap and the Fortnite Raptor Royale Pack for Xbox USA. Availability on promotional codes can change quickly, so check the product page before ordering.

Fortnite 9th Birthday: what to do first
If you want the easiest reward, start by completing three Birthday Quests for the Choco-9 Cake Back Bling. From there, six quests gets the Cake Crusher Pickaxe and completing all nine unlocks the FNCS Sentry Back Bling. The reported 9YEARS code is worth trying separately because it does not replace the quest milestones.
With the event only running for a limited period, this is one Fortnite reward set that is better completed early. We will update our Fortnite coverage if Epic changes the code, adds the Birthday Sprite, or announces any additional birthday rewards before the event closes.
