How New Game+ works
New Game+ unlocks after you complete the full campaign. It is designed for a second run rather than a shortcut into late-game options, so a finished story save is required before the mode becomes available.
The main benefit is freedom. Mission Wardrobe lets you replay the campaign in any unlocked outfit and change Bond's look through the journal. After selecting a new outfit, restarting from a chosen checkpoint applies the change. Gadget on Demand provides similar flexibility for equipment: you can swap gadgets during a mission instead of waiting for the next chapter, although story-based availability still applies. A gadget cannot be used before the point at which the campaign originally introduces it.
That balance should make repeat playthroughs more experimental without completely flattening the campaign's progression. Players can revisit stealth spaces with a different kit, try more aggressive approaches or simply use a favourite outfit throughout the story.
What changes in the new 00 difficulty?
The new 00 difficulty is the toughest campaign setting and, like New Game+, only unlocks after completing the story. Enemies detect Bond faster, deal more damage and force players to manage resources more carefully. Resource pickups also restore only a fraction of gadget capacity.
This is not just a conventional health-and-damage modifier. Reduced gadget recovery changes how often you can rely on tools, while more alert enemies put greater pressure on movement, positioning and clean execution. It is the mode aimed at players who already understand each mission and want a genuine replay challenge.
Photo Mode arrives with camera controls and filters
Photo Mode can freeze a scene and reposition the camera for screenshots of Bond, locations and action sequences. IOI says it includes camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects and poses. That gives players more control than a basic HUD-free screenshot option and should be especially useful in the game's cinematic environments.
New TacSim content: Valhalla Protocol and Jungle Heist
Valhalla Protocol
Valhalla Protocol puts players behind the wheel of the Aston Martin Valhalla in Slovakia. The heavily armed car carries machine guns and missile launchers, turning the TacSim activity into a driving and score-chasing challenge. It expands the mode beyond familiar infiltration scenarios and gives the campaign's vehicle mechanics a replayable home.
Jungle Heist
Jungle Heist returns to The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam. The objective is to retrieve documents from a safe inside the villa, with changing conditions intended to make repeat attempts play differently. TacSim also receives the Storm 12 Gauge shotgun, the Squire marksman rifle and several outfits tied to clearance levels and Intel.

Free outfit and Twitch Drop deadlines
There are two time-limited extras alongside Extended Operations:
- Grey Standard outfit: Link 007 First Light to an IOI Account by 1 November 2026.
- One More Twitch Drop: Available from 1 October at 03:00 UTC until 16 October at 17:00 UTC.
Exact Twitch viewing and account-linking requirements should be checked on the official campaign page before starting. Do not leave either reward until the final hours, as account linking and inventory delivery can sometimes take time.
Update 1.3.0 download sizes and performance additions
The patch is approximately 11.9GB on PS5, 14GB on Steam, 13.5GB on Xbox Series consoles, 8GB through Microsoft PC and 13.6GB on the Epic Games Store. Free space requirements can be higher during installation, so console players may need additional temporary storage.
On PC, the update adds an AMD FSR Frame Generation option. Xbox Series X also receives a Performance Mode targeting 60fps. Across every platform, IOI lists fixes for crashes, progression blockers, achievements, AI behaviour, controls, UI, audio and visual issues. Weapon handling animations have been refined for smoother reloads, aiming transitions, swaps and throws. Bond can now even be thrown from ledges, and Jack the Bulldog has joined MI6 HQ — with a pet interaction included.
Is Extended Operations worth returning for?
For players who finished the campaign, New Game+, 00 difficulty and the flexible outfit and gadget systems provide the clearest reasons to return. Photo Mode is available more broadly, while Valhalla Protocol and Jungle Heist add replayable challenges that do not require another complete story run.
The update is also meaningful for anyone who paused because of technical problems: more than 700 listed fixes make this a sensible point to try the game again. Everything above is confirmed by IO Interactive; there are no leaks or unverified features included in this guide. More content is in development, but IOI has not announced firm details or dates for whatever follows Extended Operations.
